72% satisfied with the BJP government’s performance in MP: Survey


NEW DELHI: BJP looks set to not only retain power in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, but to increase its majority in both assemblies in the impending state elections, according to an opinion poll for a television channel.

The findings will come as a morale booster for the Bhartiya Janata Party and an alarm bell for the Congress in elections that are being regarded as trailers for the general elections due next year.

CNN-IBN Pre-poll survey: BJP set to rout Congress in Chhattisgarh, win 61-71 seats.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strengthened its stranglehold over Chhattisgarh and pushed the Congress out of the power game. The party is on an upswing and will win 61-71 seats in the 90-member Assembly, pushing the Congress to a distant second with only 16-24 seats, according to the pre-poll survey conducted by Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) for CNN-IBN and The Week.
